Comic Buying & Condition Guide

NX1 Comics aims to make buying comics online straightforward. This guide explains how our listings, photos, condition descriptions, and inventory types work.

Exact Copy Listings

An Exact Copy listing represents one specific physical comic. The photos shown are of the actual copy being sold. Review all listing photos carefully before purchasing, as visible wear and defects shown in the photos are part of the item's condition.

Pooled Inventory Listings

A Pooled Inventory listing may represent multiple interchangeable copies of the same issue, printing, and cover or variant in comparable physical condition. Photos represent inventory for that listing, but the exact physical copy shipped may vary.

NX1 Comics keeps each physical copy individually tracked in our internal inventory system even when multiple copies are grouped into one storefront listing.

Condition and Grading

Unless a comic is specifically listed as professionally graded by a recognized grading company, NX1 Comics does not assign or guarantee a professional numeric grade. Raw comics are described and photographed to help buyers evaluate condition for themselves.

Condition can be affected by factors such as spine ticks, corner wear, creases, surface wear, printing defects, discoloration, or other handling and storage marks. Please review the available photos and listing description before purchasing.

Photos

For Exact Copy listings, photos show the specific copy that will ship. For Pooled Inventory listings, photos represent the group of comparable copies available under that listing.

Bagged and Boarded

Raw comics are stored and shipped bagged and boarded unless a listing states otherwise. Protective packaging is used during shipment to reduce movement and help protect books in transit.

Shipping and Tracking

Orders ship with tracking. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the order and applicable shipping settings.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery in accordance with the NX1 Comics return policy. Buyers should review listing photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing.
